Should you find anyone questioning the Christian nature of the camp share this with them:
"The Christian Community: The Movement for Religious Renewal" is a long name and a bold proposition. The movement is rooted in and born out of the principles of Anthroposophy, principles you may recognise in Waldorf education, Bio-dynamic farming and the Camphill movement.
At its core is the acceptance of the assertion that we are not only material beings but also the sum of our other equally essential parts, the self (The 'I'), the spirit, and soul.
We consciously strive for inclusion and no discrimination of any kind. Including faith, race, gender or sexual orientation. There is no dogma, no need for conversion or membership fees.
We recognise and acknowledge that a Christian path is one of many along the unfolding spiritual evolution of the human being.
While we are clearly not a secular space, we are not an evangelical or a proselytising space either. The point is not to help your child 'find' Jesus (And anyway, we've checked, and He's not lost).
We know that raising children today can feel especially challenging. Many parents are concerned about the growing pressures of screen time, social media, and a culture that often leaves children anxious, overstimulated, and disconnected from real-world experiences.
Our camp offers a gentle and joyful response to these challenges. Here, children can:
Step away from screens and rediscover the freedom of nature.
Experience unstructured play and creative encounters, developing imagination, resilience, and problem-solving skills.
Build genuine friendships, face-to-face.
Grow in independence while still held in a safe and nurturing environment.
Deepen their sense of meaning and belonging, rooted in Christian values of love, respect, and gratitude.
We believe that children should be allowed to grow in their wonder, their questioning and their striving.
At camp, your child will have the space and support to thrive — away from the 'noise', and closer to why childhood matters.
