Advent Fair 2024 - 30 November 2024

On Saturday 30 November we held our annual Advent Fair. Here are some images of the day.

The event is designed to provide a magical experience for children.

The Magical Cave with Christmas Angel and the Light Boats are difficult to capture in images. Making of Advent Gardens was also on offer.

The Gold Children by Bothers Grimm

The puppet show this year was the Gold Children that tells the story of a poor fisherman who catches a golden, talking fish. The fish makes demands of the fisherman and his wife that they cannot meet. Three times the fisherman catches this same fish. Eventually the fish offers himself up to be cut into six pieces. The result is two golden children, two golden horses and two golden lilies. The boys grow up and venture into the world. The one boy becomes unsure and returns home. the second boy finds love, marries and is entrapped by a witch. The second boy knows something is wrong by the state of the golden lily and goes to rescue his brother.
