Renovation of the West Manse in 2011
The arrival of Rev. Hugh Thornton prompted the renovation of the West Manse to become the accommodation for our new priest and his wife. George Nurse undertook the renovation and sponsored much of the work. Hazel Fornali acted a clerk of works on the project to ensure that the result of this project would serve the community for the foreseeable future.
In August 2011 the renovations were complete and a ceremony marked the handing over of the house to Hugh Thornton and the community.

The floor tiles that were installed were an experimental tile of Bosun Brick that gave a rustic appearance. Sadly, they flaked and cracked and were replaced.
