IT’S ON: CAMP AT GOODLANDS ESTATE, Seringveld Conservancy
Dear Parents, Grandparents, Dear Camp Supporters,
This is the time of year that we begin planning the Christian Community Summer Camp. The camp has run every year since 1983 and we would like to continue this year, if at all possible. In fact, more than ever, we feel that our camp offers exactly what children and youth need to recover their real sense of health both outwardly and inwardly after all these months.
Should the camp be able to go ahead, it will be smaller than previous years with a maximum of 50 children, whereas we would normally take between 90-100. The dates are provisionally booked for the 6th to the 16th December. All protocols will be followed in accordance with government regulations at the time of the camp.
We feel it would be greatly beneficial for the children to spend some time outside at the beautiful Goodland’s Estate, after being locked indoors for so much of this year.
If you would like to send your child, or know of a child wanting to come to the Summer Camp, please could I ask that you contact our church office between Tuesday-Friday from 09h00-13h00 and speak to Celia or send me an email on reingardk@me.com with details of the child and parents’ contact details (booking forms will be available online soon to fill out). At this time bookings will be taken on a first come, first serve basis and we cannot unfortunately hold places for children this year.
We will provide confirmation if the camp can go ahead by late November and will only then ask for camp fees to be paid. In the meantime, we would like to begin planning the groups and activities. We already have a keen group of helpers and will be starting preparation meetings this month.
