The Community of Mary by Rev. Michaël Merle
Rev. Michaël Merle writes in the introduction: A congregant in Johannesburg asked me in the months between my arrival in Johannesburg as a resident priest and December what the Marian perspective is in the traditions and understandings of The Christian Community. This led me to consider a series of three talks given over three of the Sundays of Advent (December 2020) to bring something of a view of Mary in church tradition as well as in the overall view of The Christian Community. This overall view is not set in any formal teaching (and certainly not in any dogmatic way). It is drawn from the life of The Christian Community and a perspective on Scripture and the Sacramental life through the lens of Anthroposophy.
These presentations are now available, as promised, in the form of a booklet. Three pictures painted by Sophia Montefiore accompany the text. The 80-page A5 booklet is currently at the printers and will sell for R150 each.
