The Gospel Study of Luke’s Gospel and the seventh path of Right Mindfulness

During May the study of Luke’s gospel focused on the events and parables the lead up the Last Supper at which Christ expresses the new understanding of Right Mindfulness. This may be understood as holding a memory in mind in the present.

In the verses of chapters 20, 21 and 22 we come to understand that we must become the author of our own lives, become the authority. The parable of the wine growers teaches us that the I-constitution needs to become the authority to the astral body and discernment in the astral is brought about through the I-constitution. Marriage is the integration of the human being and when we reach that stage of evolution where incarnation is no longer needed, we will be whole and marriage will no longer be part of the human experience. The seven brothers described by the Sadducees represent the seven chakras of the human being that need to be opened before the human being is fully integrated.

The apocalyptic words of Luke 21 teach us to stand in our own truth as human beings with the patient power of endurance to keep our mind focussed. It is through a mindful spirit that the human being will be able to stand before the Son of Man.

Judas Iscariot does not act in his own mindfulness; his mind is tainted by an external force. We can betray our I-constitution by not being mindful. The message of the Last Supper is to hold a memory in our present mindfulness in the name of the Divine I am.
